Pediatric and Adolescent Urology Institute provides experience combined with innovative and cutting-edge treatments for conditions of the genitals and urinary tract.  Dr. Jeffrey Palmer has developed and refined many minimally invasive techniques in pediatric and adolescent urology in order to reduce pain, improve outcomes, enhance patient recovery, and increase patient and parental satisfaction.  He has published and lectured both internationally and nationally on these innovative techniques.  Dr. Palmer also trains pediatric, adolescent and adult urologists from all over the world in pediatric urology and adolescent urology.

MALE & FEMALE GENITAL RECONSTRUCTION

Patients from all over the world are referred to Dr. Palmer for his techniques to repair congenital and acquired conditions of the male and female genitalia in children, adolescents and adults. He is the editor of several textbooks and journals, and has authored several chapters and articles, including chapters in Campbell-Walsh Urology. Dr. Palmer is the inventor of the Triple-P (P3) Technique™ for cosmetic and reconstructive genital surgery, and has refined other surgical techniques in hypospadias repair leading to reduced complication rates.

 

OUTPATIENT SURGERY FOR URINARY REFLUX

Dr. Palmer is a national leader for the care of urinary reflux and the technique of outpatient ureteral reimplantation (Palmer Outpatient Reimplantation™).  This technique has led to reduced hospital-borne infections, complications, and pain medication, while improving patient and parent satisfaction.

 

SINGLE-PORT LAPAROSCOPY

Dr. Palmer was the first to publish on the use of single-port laparoscopy for the treatment of urologic conditions in children.

 

LAPAROSCOPIC VARICOCELE REPAIR

Dr. Palmer was the first to report on the use of single-port laparoscopy for varicocele repair, and methods to reduce complications associated with laparoscopic repair.

 

ROBOTIC AND LASER SURGERY

Dr. Palmer has been a leader of robotic and laser surgery in Northeast Ohio.  He is the editor of the first textbook on the use of robotic surgery to treat urologic conditions in children, entitled Pediatric Robotic Surgery.
