Centers of Excellence

Pediatric and Adolescent Urology Institute has developed several Centers of Excellence to provide state-of-the-art diagnostic, management, and treatment options for newborns, children and adolescents with acquired and congenital abnormalities of the genitalia and urinary tract.  Parental education is the Institute's priority.

 

A.S.A.P.  Pediatric & Adolescent Urology  Same Day Center TM

The A.S.A.P. is both an immediate 24/7 access for healthcare providers to a certified pediatric urologist and a same-day care service for children and adolescents with urologic conditions.

 

 

Center for Second Opinions

A center for parents to obtain additional information on the care of pediatic and adolescent urologic conditions.  Children undergo a thorough evaluation, including physical examination and diagnostic testing.  Parents are also educated on the management options and outcome comparisons.

 

Center for Bladder Control

A center staffed with highly trained professionals to diagnose and treat bladder control issues, such as bedwetting, daytime accidents, painful urination, urinary frequency, and urinary urgency, using state-of-the-art equipment.  The Center offers natural, behavioral and medical treatment options for urinary issues.  Dr. Jeffrey Palmer and the Center for Bladder Control also have a large experience in successfully treating children with urinary issues and autism, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and attention deficit disorder (ADD).

 

Center for Cosmetic & Reconstructive Urology (Children, Adolescents, Adults

A center to evaluate and treat abnormalities of the male and female genitalia and urinary tract, such as hypospadias, incomplete circumcision, hidden (buried) penis, penile curvature, penile agenesis, vaginal agenesis, labial asymmetry and urinary tract obstruction.  Dr. Jeffrey Palmer has developed several non-surgical options and surgical techniques, including the Triple-P (P3) Technique of cosmetic and reconstructive genital surgery.

 

Center for Minimally Invasive Surgery

A center to provide innovative and cutting-edge surgical techniques to care for urologic conditions, including robotic surgery, laparoscopy, and laser therapy.   Many of these techniques were developed and published in the medical literature by Dr. Jeffrey Palmer.

 

Center for Perinatal Urology

A center dedicated to counseling expecting parents and managing children with abnormalities diagnosed during pregnancy.  The Center for Perinatal Urology coordinates the care of these children with the obstetrician and primary care provider.

 

Center for Transitional Urology

 

A center dedicated to evaluating and treating adolescents and adults with congenital genital and urinary tract conditions. The Center for Transitional Urology uses state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment and Dr. Jeffrey Palmer provides innovative and cutting-edge medical and surgical techniques to treat adolescents and adults with congenital urologic conditions. Dr. Palmer has lectured to both adult and pediatric urologists on his experience on transitional urology of the adolescent and young adult with congenital conditions transitioning into adulthood.

 

 

Center for Urinary Reflux

A center to evaluate and treat urinary reflux.  State-of-the-art equipment is used to assist in the diagnose and non-surgical management. Minimally invasive surgical techniques are also offered, including the Palmer Outpatient Reimplantation™.
